Ayurvedic Massage Training 2012

Atreya Abhyanga Level 2, 75 hours.

Level 2 :     March 2-4 and March 23-24 2012

This course adapts traditional Ayurvedic Massage for Westerners. A technician under the direction of a doctor traditionally provides massage, as this is not usually possible in the West this course will provide diagnostic tools in order to determine Dosha (individual constitution) and will introduce concepts of Ayurvedic Anatomy and Physiology, Dhatu, Srota, Mala.

The importance of Prana (Vital Energy) in Massage Therapy is central to the training and each day of the course will start with meditation and exercises for building and communicating Prana.

Protocols for balancing Vata, Pitta and Kapha and the correct use of oils per Dosha will be taught along with the three different forms of touch and the techniques of massage. You will learn to give a full body treatment to not only balance the Dosha of your client but to remove any excess or imbalance in the system through use of advanced therapeutic techniques.
